That is essential, and we need to let others know that we aren't just creating; we are also supporting one another.”

Her message was clear: collaboration could be one of the biggest strengths for women working in cinema. According to Madhu, when women actively stand behind other women, the impact can be much bigger than individual success.

“If women stand together for other women, they will be incredibly successful. You would agree, I’m sure—and I hope the guys don't mind me saying this—that women are actually much smarter than men,” she added with a light-hearted touch.

Madhu was also asked about the position women currently hold in Bollywood, particularly from her perspective of someone who has been closely associated with the industry for years. She pointed towards the progress she has witnessed and suggested that the gap between men and women in the industry is gradually becoming narrower.

“Well, women have had to put in extra effort—and they still do. But I can see that gap narrowing. It feels like things have become a bit easier for women now. If they stand their ground, they will certainly succeed.”

“She has a movie coming up soon with S.S. Rajamouli—yes, she is stepping into Hollywood for the first time, which is fantastic. She is returning to the scene after quite a while—having previously worked in many South Indian films—and she is making a big splash; you are going to love it.”
